Nude Shifts

(12th St by Cynthia Vincent Dress, Alexander Wang Silk-Charmeuse Maxi Dress)

Even though summer is already more than halfway done and the glossies are all focusing on the rich wine and jewel-hued palettes of the fall, I’m still entirely in love with the nude palette that has been so popular this SS2011.  Beautifully draped shifts and silky textures seem so luxurious and refreshing in the summer heat.  This comes from a girl whose wardrobe has been overrun by black the past year and a half.  Luckily enough many of the best designs are on sale now, so I’ll be snapping up one or two.  They’ll go fantastically with cropped or oversized sweaters and chunky wedges or slouchy boots…
